Exercise has always been a passion of mine. From the time that my mom gave me a kids exercise VHS so that I would stop interrupting her 80ās aerobic workout videos, to that happy day when I turned 14 and was then old enough to work out at the church gym by myself. My interest in diabetes prevention started when I first tried helping a loved one reverse some of the negative effects of type 2 diabetes through exercise. As I noticed improvement in their strength, balance, and performance of activities of daily living, I knew this area was where I wanted to devote my energies.
