Exercise, especially muscle-strengthening exercise, is a powerful way to help improve risk factors in type 2 diabetes. It only takes one session of muscle-strengthening (resistance) exercise to lower anxiety, blood sugar, insulin, blood pressure, and triglycerides. In this video, I discuss the current research, including from my own research team, surrounding the beneficial effects of one workout session on risk factors for type 2 diabetes.
